Dr. Robert Nicholls of UK Tyndall Centre finds plans to green the planet with bio energy creates water stress for billions of people. Johannes Lohmann from the University of Copenhagen warns Earth will hit climate tipping points much sooner than expected due to the rate of climate change.

WORLD’S HOTTEST TIME EVER!
The global overall temperature average has hit new levels on July 21st and again on July 22nd 2024, going above 17 degrees C. Earth is currently hotter than at any time in the last 100,000 years. We are just at the start of global warming.
As this reality sinks in, agents of the fossil power world become more reactionary. The UK was shamed by 4 and 5 year sentences to five climate activists who discussed blocking a roadway full of gas-burning carbon-spewing cars. Peaceful protest against the machine that is boiling Earth’s creatures is punished more severely than pedophilia or assault – by the same Judge. The Defendants were not allowed to mention climate change in their defense. Gagged.
In the same week, 73 year old Captain Paul Watson was arrested in Greenland by Danish police. There was a warrant from the senseless whale killer Japan for his arrest, again for protesting the killing of sentient beings. Watson became a guardian of the sea creatures when land governments failed. His cowardly arrest by the Danes is again shameful.
These cases reflect the desire for power by the right. If elected, Donald Trump promises to eliminate environmental protection laws and “drill, drill, drill” for more deadly carbon pollution. A strange theology of technical feudalism and religion is struggling to gain power in many countries, including in Canada, the Netherlands and Germany. Just as our weather becomes ultra destructive and unlivable, these groups intend to prolong the agony and make it worse, not just for humanity, but all living things. Anti-life has become the last bastion of obscene wealth building.
I am currently reading the book “Technofeudalism – What Killed Capitalism” by Yanis Varoufakis. I invited him for an interview but our weekly non-profit network may be too small for him. Either way, you can expect a program on technofeudalism. First I am working on an hour long interview, by a guest host, that blows the lid off the dark relationships between artificial intelligence and climate change. Keep your ears out for that. It’s a new program, not to be missed, possibly next week.
